Sustainable and Accessible Mobility in Cultural Heritage

This publication is a result of the collaboration between the Automobile Investigation University Institute (INSIA-UPM) and the Group for Cultural Landscape Investigation and City and Territory Intervention (GIPC-UPM), of which the author is a member. It is the culmination of an investigation on the effect of the use of automobiles on existing urban areas. The main concerns are those areas where development is of historical interest, leading to the need for protection, while maintaining accessibility and inner mobility as relevant aspects in the urban dynamics and therefore, of their continuity as habitable reference sites. The investigation considered several aspects, not only through analysis of the current situation or revision of actions that were already carried out in that line of work, but also from the point of view of suggestion.
